PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for producing a metallic powder, which can surely keep a flow rate of a liquid jetted from an orifice almost constant. SOLUTION: The apparatus 1A for producing the metallic powder comprises a supplying section for supplying a molten metal (Q), and a nozzle 3. The nozzle 3 comprises: a first flow path 31 that is arranged in a lower part of the supplying section, can pass the molten metal (Q) supplied from the supplying section therethrough, and has an inner-diameter-decreasing portion 33 of which the inner diameter gradually decreases toward the lower part; and the orifice 34 which opens at a lower end of the first flow path 31 and jets the water (S) to the first flow path 31. The nozzle 3 further comprises: a first member 4 which partitions the orifice 34; and a second member 5 which is arranged in the lower part of the first member 4 through a gap 37. A heat absorber 6 is arranged in the vicinity of the inner-diameter-decreasing portion 33 in the first member 4, which is an inhibiting means for inhibiting the orifice 34 from expanding due to a temperature rise that deforms a component in the vicinity of the inner-diameter-decreasing portion 33 and further due to a pressure of the water (S) passing through the orifice 34.
