PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a washing machine for obtaining high correlation with washing states of laundry and to improve washing efficiency. SOLUTION: The washing machine has a spin basket 4 for storing the laundry inside and rotating around a rotation axis, a microphone 15 for detecting vibration acoustic signals generated by the spin basket 4, a comparison part for comparing a result detected by the microphone 15 with reference data indicating preset washing states, and a basket rotation control part for controlling the washing state of the laundry from the compared result of the comparison part.
