<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plotting device whose hardware costs can be reduced, and a data transferring method. <P>SOLUTION: A plotting device 10 is provided with a main memory 13, a cache memory 41 for transmitting/receiving image data to/from the main memory 13; a transfer controller 45 for managing data transfer between the main memory 13 and the cache memory 41, and for storing information relating to the status of the cache memory 41; and a program execution part 26 for executing an image processing program by using image data in the cache memory 41. The cache memory 41 includes a plurality of entries by which the image data can be stored, and a transfer controller 45 stores identification information T of image data to be transferred to the entry from the main memory 13 to the entry of the cache memory 41 and transfer information R showing whether or not image data have been transferred to the entry for each entry. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
