PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an illumination control system for Karaoke capable of extending a displayable time of an electronic quick reference book as much as possible. SOLUTION: When a voltage value of a driving battery 90 for the electronic quick reference book 2 is set at a predetermined value, an illuminance command for lowering luminance of interior illumination 3 in response to the drop of the voltage value of the driving battery 90 is output to a Karaoke device body 1 through a wireless LAN communication part 68. The Karaoke device body 1 lowers the luminance of the interior illumination 3 or interior illuminance through a light control part 42 by the illuminance command input via an interface part 14. In the electronic quick reference book 2, the interior illuminance is detected by an optical sensor 98, and luminance of a backlight 94 is lowered in response to the detected interior illuminance. Since power consumption can be reduced while user's eyes are accustomed to the interior illuminance by thus lowering the luminance of the backlight 94, the driving time of the driving battery 90 for the electronic quick reference book 2 is extended, that it to say, a display time of the electronic quick reference book 2 is extended.
