PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cosmetic brush where touch on skin and the application of a cosmetic are improved compared with a brush with only animal hair by mixing the animal hair with the bristle material made from polytrimethylene terephthalate (PTT). SOLUTION: The animal hair is mixed with a PTT monofilament bristle material including a tapered part with fine projections/recessions distally arranged, wherein fiber fineness is set to 60-110 dtx, Young's modulus is to 150-200 kgf/mm<SP>2</SP>, and a 20% elongation recovery ratio is set to 70-90%. Consequently, touch on the skin and the applicability of the cosmetic are improved compared with the brush with only the animal hair used therein. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
