PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid-state imaging apparatus and a drive method thereof whereby the image quality is not deteriorated due to a jumping noise even when an electronic shutter is operated. SOLUTION: The solid-state imaging apparatus includes: an imaging circuit 50 and a signal processing circuit 51. The imaging circuit 50 includes a plurality of pixel parts arranged in a matrix form, and a signal of each pixel part is outputted by each row as an imaging signal with a discontinuous part. The signal processing circuit 51 includes a memory section 54 for temporarily storing the imaging signal and a memory control section 53 for writing/reading the imaging signal to/from the memory section 54, and converts the imaging signal with the discontinuous part into a consecutive image signal.
