<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To clean the light-emitting surface of a light-emitting diode after attaining a reduction in size of an image forming apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The light-emitting surface 103 of an LED print head 10 is cleaned by executing steps in order; an electrifying device pulling-out step T1 for pulling out the electrifying device 9 from the front surface frame plate 22 facing outside with a maintenance door 18 provided to a housing 2 opened; a cleaning fixture insertion step T2 for inserting a bar-shaped cleaning fixture 30 provided with a cleaning member 33 at the tip end, from the notched recessed portion 221 exposed to the outside by pulling out the electrifying device 9, into an electrifying device attaching space V; a cleaning step T3 for operating the cleaning fixture 30 inserted into the notched recessed portion 221 to clean the light-emitting surface 103 of the LED print head with the tip end cleaning member 33; and a cleaning shaft pulling out step T4 for pulling out the cleaning fixture 30, after the clearing process, from the electrifying device attaching space V. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
