<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic electroluminescent display element and its manufacturing method. <P>SOLUTION: The organic electroluminescent display element comprises a first electrode, a second electrode, a luminous layer arranged between the first and second electrodes, a hole-injecting layer arranged between the first electrode and the luminous layer, a hole-transporting layer arranged between the first electrode and the luminous layer, and a charge-generating layer arranged between the hole-injecting layer and the hole-transporting layer.
