PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide operability suitable to operate only a lens device or suitable to operate both the lens device and an operation base on which the lens device is placed. SOLUTION: A state is judged by a detecting means that detects the movement of the operation base. According to the state, a method for driving the lens is altered or the drive of the lens is stopped. In order to alter the drive, nonsensitive area of the operation bar of an operating part, a speed curve, or an operating force is altered.
