A display apparatus is provided to easily change a hard disk, select a desired hard disk and set the hard disk in the display apparatus, and automatically separate an external device from the display device. A display apparatus includes a display device, a bay(2), an external device(3), a sensor(25), a slide(22), a gripper guide(23), a gripper(24), and a groove(6). The bay is formed at the external face of the display device. The external device includes a hard disk and is inserted into the bay to transmit/receive signals to/from the display device. The sensor senses the insertion of the external device when the external device is inserted into the bay at a predetermine depth. The slide is moved backward according to a sensing signal of the sensor. The gripper guide is caught by the slide when the slide is moved backward by longer than a predetermined distance and moved backward together with the slide. The gripper is hinge-moved with respect to the gripper guide. The groove is formed at the external face of the external device. The gripper is fitted in the groove, and thus the external device is moved backward.
