A catalyst composition comprising a group 4 transition metal compound with a novel structure is provided to be used for preparing a polyolefin having high activity, high molecular weight, high copolymerizing property and double composition distribution even at high polymerization temperature. The catalyst composition comprises: at least one transition metal compound selected from the group consisting of a transition metal compound represented by the formula(1) and a transition metal compound represented by the formula(2); and at least one co-catalytic compound selected from compounds represented by the formula(3) of -[Al(R31)-o]a-, formula(4) of J(R32)3, and formula(5) of [L-H]^+[Z(R33)4]^- or [L]^+[Z(R33)4]^-. In the formulae, each R1 to R4 and R7-R10 is independently H, a C1-20 alkyl, a C6-20 aryl, a C2-20 alkenyl, a C7-20 alkylaryl, or a metalloid radical of a group 14 metal substituted with C1-30 hydrocarbyl, at least two of Rl to R4 and R7-R10 may be bonded together by an alkylidene radical containing a C1-20 aryl or alkyl to form a ring; each R6 to R6'" is independently H, a halogen radical, a C1-20 alkyl, or a C6-20 aryl radical, and at least two of R6 to R6'" may be bonded together to form a fused ring; each R5 and R11 is a C1-20 alkyl, a C3-20 cycloalkyl, an aryl, a silyl, a C2-20 alkenyl, a alkylaryl, an arylalkyl, or a metalloid radical of a group 14 metal substituted with hydrocarbyl; each R6 and R12 is H, a halogen radical, a C1-20 alkyl or an aryl, or R6 and R12 may be bonded to each other.
