PURPOSE: An apparatus and method for generating and transmitting/receiving a sync word in a CDMA communication system is provided to offer an apparatus and method to generate a sync word pattern for synchronous verification in a CDMA communication system. CONSTITUTION: A sync word generator(1011) generates and outputs a sync word composed of 32 synchronous bits for one PCP(Power Control Preamble). A controller(1021) generates the first selection signal(sel1) to select synchronous bits and generic pilot bits in each pilot section and the second signal(sel2) to select a pilot and other data in a slot section. The first selector(1013) multiplexes and outputs the synchronous bits and generic pilot bits outputted from the sync word generator(1011) by the first selection signal(sel1) of the controller(1021). The second selector(1015) selects, multiplexes and outputs the pilot and other data outputted from the first selector(1013) by the second selection signal(sel2) of the controller(1021). A spreader(1017) spreads and outputs the slot data outputted from the second selector(1015). |
