A toner including a mother toner having an average circularityof from 0.93 to 0.99, and including amodif ied polyester resin and a colorant; and an external additive in an amount of from 0.3 to 5.0 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of the mother toner, wherein the toner has a melting viscosity of from 70 to 140 Pa.s at 160 DEG C, a weight-average particle diameter of from 3 to 7 mu m, a ratio thereof to a number-average particle diameter of from 1.91 to 1.25, particles having a diameter of 4 mu m or less being present in an amount less than 10 % by number or particles having a diameter of 8 mu m or more being present in an amount less than 2 % by volume. <IMAGE> |
