APPARATUS AND METHOD OF DEMANDING PAGING FOR EMBEDDED SYSTEM

A device and a method for demand paging in an embedded system are provided to easily use a demand paging technique in a system using an OS(Operating System) or the OS not supporting demand paging. A non-volatile storage device(300) stores codes and data, which are a target of a demand paging. A physical memory(200) reads information for a requested page from the non-volatile storage device and processes the information. A demand paging window(100) causes the demand paging by generating fault of the page with a part of an address space(110) referred by an application program stored in the non-volatile storage device. A demand paging manager(400) processes the fault generated in the demand paging window. The demand paging manager generates a demand paging memory pool for executing demand paging by receiving the part of the physical memory.
