A forwarding cache entry processing method in a duplex router and a device therefor are provided to enable a routing server to generate a multicast forwarding cache entry based on pre-stored source and group addresses, thereby preventing performance deterioration caused by traffic inside the router. The first routing server(100) generates the first table(120) in accordance with a forwarding cache entry in an active state, and transmits address information of the entry to the second routing server(200). The second routing server(200) stores the address information of the entry in a standby state, and generates the second table(220) in accordance with a forwarding cache entry generated on the basis of the address information when being converted into an active state. At least more than one data plan(300) processes multicast packets inputted from a network on the basis of the third table(320) in accordance with each forwarding cache entry generated from the respective routing servers(100,200).
