A personal portable terminal and a number input method of the personal portable terminal are provided to enable a user to input 2 numbers, respectively, on the first to sixth buttons, thus the user can input number combinations and symbols with the six buttons only, thereby reducing size of the personal portable terminal. A terminal body(110) is equipped. A button part(120) is composed of buttons(122,124,126,128,130,132) formed on a front side of the terminal body, and wherein one of the buttons is capable of selectively inputting one of plural numbers. A switch unit is located in a lower part by individually corresponding to the buttons, and generates different signals according to size of a force which presses the buttons. A circuit board is electrically connected to the switch unit, and delivers the signals generated by the switch unit.
