PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a furniture equipped with a top plate where an end on the side of a long edge which is the sitting side of the top plate is processed neatly, which presents simple and sharp appearance in design, where strength of legs is secured sufficiently, and where various kinds of recycle boards can be utilized as a material of the top plate, with respect to the furniture such as a table, a desk a low dining table where the top plate is supported by leg part. SOLUTION: The furniture is composed of the top plate 1 which is rectangular in plane view and the legs 2 which are portal by a front view respectively obtained by connecting a horizontal frame rod 4 between the upper ends of a pair of right and left vertical leg rods 3. The horizontal frame rod of a leg is connected to the top surface of the top plate to be flush on at least one edge side of both of the long edges of the top plate. The other edge side of the long edges of the top plate is supported by the same leg or the other leg member. The top plate has a structure where side surface plates 6 are suspended and connected to both side ends on the shorter edge side of a front surface plate 5 so that the front surface plate may be continued to an outer surface. The horizontal frame rods of the legs are connected so that the upper surface of the front surface plate and the outer side surface of the respective leg rods may be flush with the outer surfaces of the side surface plates.
