<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an implement for correcting the way of holding which easily corrects the way of holding a writing instrument, and an auxiliary implement for writing. <P>SOLUTION: The correcting implement 1 is provided with: an attaching section 3 in which an attaching groove 2 for attaching the implement to a writing instrument is formed; and a finger angle regulating section 4 which is provided on an outer peripheral part of the attaching section 3 and regulates the angle between a thumb and an index finger. The finger angle regulating section 4, when the correcting implement 1 is attached to the writing instrument, has: a first side face 4a extending in the direction of going from the tip to the end of the writing instrument and in the direction going away from the writing instrument; and a second side face 4b parallel to the axial center direction of the writing instrument.
