PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent overturning of a person riding on an escalator, by sticking a sheet of a slippery construction material so as to cover an inside plate surface of the escalator. SOLUTION: This escalator 3 can be safely operated by becoming slippery between wearing clothes or a baggage of an escalator 3 user and the inside plate 2 of the escalator even if the body is leaned against the inside plate 2 of the escalator, after the escalator 3 user gets on a step 5 of the escalator, by sticking a sheet body 1 of the slippery construction material or applying the sheet body to the whole in a fitting type so as to cover a surface of a construction material such as stainless steel or glass widely used for the inside plate 2 of the escalator.
