<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sharply reduce a confirming operation of print attributes set in each hierarchy in a document, and to easily set the print attributes while confirming the other setting. <P>SOLUTION: A CPU 100 executes a program, and displays in a list the respective hierarchies of document information stored in an RAM 102 and print attributes to be set in those hierarchies by a table form at a display 107. Then, a keyboard 106 sets the print attributes in each of the hierarchies displayed in a list.
