[MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] There is provided an amorphous hard carbon coating comprising a first amorphous hard carbon layer consisting substantially of carbon only superimposed on a surface of base material and a second amorphous hard carbon layer consisting substantially of carbon only superimposed on the surface of the first amorphous hard carbon layer, wherein as viewed per a cross section, the transmission electron microscope image of the first amorphous hard carbon layer is brighter than the transmission electron microscope image of the second amorphous hard carbon layer.</p>
