PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition for tire with highly improved and well balanced grip characteristics and abrasion resistance. SOLUTION: The rubber composition for tire comprises 100 pts.wt. of a rubber component comprising≥50 wt.% of a styrene-butadiene rubber comprising 20-50% of styrene, 30-70% of a vinyl compound and having≥10<SP>6</SP>of a weight average molecular weight and≤20% of a coupling rate, and 25 pts.wt. of a liquid styrene-butadiene rubber with 1000-10,000 of average molecular weight as a softener.
