Large skylights are provided on the tiles in order to cover a large part of these tiles and hermetically sealed, irregular-shaped, hollow vacuum-containing bodies (1) made from transparent or tinted glass are inserted into the skylights, the upper face of the body forming a continuous surface with the rest of the tile. The body can be adjustably connected to the skylight and is connected to a complimentary heat transfer tube (6) via a heat exchanger (5) which is covered with a selective absorbent material and receives solar heat from reflectors (2) or other heat capture means. The tube rests on a support cradle (7) for securing to the wooden battens or concrete base forming the tile seat. An independent claim is also included for a method installing this device, by introducing the cradle, heat transfer tube, glass body and skylight on top of the roof after the tiles have been laid. The tiles can be flat or curved. |
