PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device with improved light emitting efficiency, capable of lowering discharge voltage. SOLUTION: The display device is provided with an upper substrate 120 and a lower substrate 110 arranged in opposition with a plurality of discharge cells 114 formed between them, a plurality of first electrodes 121a, 121b formed on an inner face of the upper substrate 120 facing he discharge cells 114, a plurality of electron emission sources 126a, 126b of a curved shape arranged on an inner face of the upper substrate in correspondence with the first electrodes 121a, 121b, discharge gas filled in the discharge cells 114, and a light-emitting substance layer formed on an inner wall of each discharge cell.
