PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing ethylamines, capable of separating ethylamines having high quality in high efficiency and keeping high catalytic activity over a long period. SOLUTION: At least one kind of ethylamine selected from mono-, di- and triethylamines is produced by reacting ethyl alcohol with ammonia in the presence of a catalyst to obtain a reaction product mixture containing at least one kind of ethylamine selected from mono-, di- and triethylamines and purifying the reaction product mixture. In the above method, the ethyl alcohol to be supplied to the reaction system has a methyl alcohol content of≤100 wt.ppm or an ethyl acetate content of≤100 wt.ppm and an ethyl alcohol content of≥90 vol.%.
