PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for assaying the activity of a polymerase enzyme by using SPA (scintillation proximity assay) without requiring a primer modified with an affinity tag. SOLUTION: The method for assaying the activity of the polymerase enzyme carried out by using the SPA (scintillation proximity assay) without requiring the primer modified with the affinity tag is provided.
