PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new fluorene compound useful as a production intermediate of various compounds. SOLUTION: This fluorene compound is represented by general formula (1) (wherein, Ar<SB>1</SB>, Ar<SB>2</SB>are each independently a substituted or unsubstituted aryl, and may form a nitrogen-containing heterocycle together with the bonded nitrogen atom; R<SB>1</SB>, R<SB>2</SB>are each independently a 1-12C straight chain, branched or cyclic alkyl, a 6-10C carbon cyclic aromatic group or 7-10C carbon cyclic aralkyl; Z<SB>1</SB>, Z<SB>2</SB>are each independently a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, a straight chain, branched or cyclic alkyl, a straight chain, branched or cyclic alkoxy or a substituted or unsubstituted aryl).
