PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately stitch sheets in central parts thereof when saddle-stitching. SOLUTION: A sheet processing device for stacking conveyed sheets, performing a predetermined processing to the sheets and delivering them is provided with a stacking tray for temporarily stacking the sheets, a saddle-stitching stapler for saddle-stitching a bundle of the sheets stacked on the stacking tray, a discharging claw 52a for moving the bundle of the sheets stitched by the saddle-stitching stapler, a rear end sensor 310-1 and a tip sensor 310-2 for detecting sheet ends of the bundle of the sheets being moved by the discharging claw 52a, and a control device for controlling each of the means. When saddle-stitching the sheets with the saddle-stitching stapler, the control device computes the amount of correction of stitching position based on the detecting timing of the tip side and/or the rear side sensors 310-1 and 310-2 in relation to the conveying direction, and performs feedback to the amount of movement of the discharging claw 52a.
