A streetlight comprises an imaging device such as camera 27. A reflective shield 5 may divide housing 13 into an upper section containing camera 27 and a lower section containing lamp 23 and has edges that contact the housing, to reflect light downward, and to prevent light from entering the camera directly. The camera may be movable or comprise more than one static camera and is used for remote video surveillance, with lamp 23 providing illumination for the monitored area. The streetlight provides covert positioning of a CCTV camera while light from lamp 23 and shield 5 reduces visibility of the camera to a viewer. |
