<p>#CMT# #/CMT# Use of a 4-16 carbon glycol and/or a hydroxylated ester of polyol and 4-16 carbon carboxylic acid as an agent in skin care, make-up and/or lip care cosmetic composition to reinforce natural complexion of skin and/or lips and/or natural volume of the lips. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# The composition is useful for skin care, make-up and/or lips e.g., as a care base, make-up base, care cream, tinted cream, make-up foundation, lip-stick, paste, balm or lip varnish, liquid gloss and like an eye-contour pencil to reinforce the natural complexion of the skin, lips and/or natural lip volume, particularly for the skin, to homogenize and/or cleanse the complexion and/or to decrease the burnt/tanned effect, and to increase the size, volume, shape and/or smoothness of the lips (claimed). #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The composition contains water content at less than 1 wt.% i.e., the composition is available in anhydrous form. The composition provides good looking effect to the complexion, particularly for the face with good looking effect, and stimulates the natural lip color (all claimed), permanently. #CMT#ORGANIC CHEMISTRY : #/CMT# Preferred Components: The active agent is the hydroxylated ester, preferably a hydroxylated mono- and/or di-ester having 10-20 carbon esters. The ester has free hydroxyl (OH) functional groups, preferably two OH groups. The polyol is optionally saturated branched 2-15, preferably 2-8 carbon hydrocarbon derivatives with at least two free OH groups, preferably three OH groups, e.g., propylene glycol and glycerol. The acid is an optionally saturated 6-12, preferably 7-10 monocarboxylic acid e.g. heptanoic acid, caprylic acid or capric acid. The ester is mono- and/or di-glyceryl caprylate, mono- and/or di glyceryl heptanoate, mono- and/or di glyceryl caprylate, propyleneglycol caprylate and/or propyleneglycol heptanoate, preferably monoglyceryl caprylate. The glycol is an 8-10 carbon gycol e.g., caprylyl glycol.
