COLD CATHODE ARRAY AND FIELD EMISSION TYPE DISPLAY

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cold cathode array capable of reducing cost by lowering driving voltage for emitting electron beam from the cold cathode, and a field emission type display using the same.

SOLUTION: A cathode electrode 27 is arranged on a substrate 26, belt-shaped gate electrodes 291to 29mare arranged on an insulation layer 28 covering the cathode electrode 27, focus electrodes 321to 32ncrossing the gate electrodes 291to 29min right angle are arranged on the insulation layer 31 for covering the gate electrodes 291to 29m, and a plurality of cold cathodes 30 are formed on an area F where the gate electrodes 291to 29mcross the focus electrodes 321to 32nin right angle.
