PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a proximity switch fixing with substantial fixing strength a mold case manufactured by using a mold case die of a simple structure and a lead switch terminal. SOLUTION: For the proximity switch provided with a lead switch 1 equipped with lead switch terminals 1a as lead terminals at both of a sealed glass tube, a slit for protecting the lead switch 1, and the mold case 2 having an insertion guide and a groove formed for the insertion of the lead switch terminal 1a as the lead terminal, the lead switch 1 and the mold case 2 are fixed with resin by thermal caulking.
