<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform a proper print quality inspection consistently by setting regular inspection standards for print quality regardless of printing conditions and the state of a printing machine, in a printing quality inspection device and a printing quality inspection method which inspect the quality of printed matter by comparing read image data obtained by scanning the printed matter with inspection standard image data serving as inspection standards. <P>SOLUTION: Printing matrix data or copy data to be made out by a printing matrix data making-out means 1 in a preprinting process, are used as inspection standard image data. It is arranged so that the proper inspection standard data free from deposited flaw or smudge as seen in the case of making out inspection standard data by scanning printed matter with a reading means 7, can be obtained without printing by the inspection standard image data. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
