PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for testing a gear pair capable of obtaining precise test results by faithfully reproducing the meshing in an actual machine in an actual usage state. SOLUTION: At an optional position on a setting plane on a base, a pair of pinion shaft supporting walls 20, 21 for supporting the pinion shaft are oppositely fixed, and at the same time a pair of gear shaft supporting walls 30, 31 are oppositely fixed while connecting its side surfaces to the wall face of the pinion supporting wall 20. These fixing positions are adjusted with shims 41-43 arranged on each position. Therefore, the pinion and the gear are supported with high rigidity and high accuracy, and the affection of the gear pair when mounted on the actual machine such as bending etc., is faithfully reproduced.
