<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming system capable of accurately predicting the end of the life of a component of working amount degradation depending type. <P>SOLUTION: A photoreceptor unit and a developing unit in each of processing units 1Y, 1C, 1M and 1K are constituted so that the number P(i) of printed sheets by the units being the number of sheets of recording paper P on which an image is formed by a printer in such a state that the units are mounted is counted, and unit life remaining time T3(i) is calculated based on the result of counting and the predetermined number Lp(i) of sheets showing the life of the unit.
