PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an alloyed hot dip galvanized steel sheet in which the adhesion of a plating film is excellent. SOLUTION: In the alloyed hot dip galvanized steel sheet, a base steel sheet comprises one or more kinds selected from, by mass, 0.1 to 2.0% Si, 0.5 to 3.0% Mn and 0.01 to 0.15% P. At least a part of oxide containing one or more kinds of elements selected from Si, Mn and P present in the surface of the base steel sheet before plating is present in the plating film separately from the boundary of the plating film/the base steel sheet. The oxide containing one or more kinds selected from Si, Mn and P present in the plating film separately from the boundary of the plating film/the base steel sheet has a granular shape, and, in the granular oxide, the average length in a direction parallel to the grain boundary of the plating film/the base steel sheet is≤500 nm.
