Condensation sensor (3) has a leakage field capacitance (6) arranged at a distance form a condensation surface (9) of a windscreen (1). Between capacitance and surface is a gas space (11) with the support body (2) of the capacitance being arranged at a distance to the the condensation surface. The leakage field permites detection of condensation on the condensation surface without close thermal coupling between the capacitance and the condensation surface.
