PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packaging material in which a printing layer is formed on a sheet of a base material with excellent adhesion even if the sheet of the base material whose surface has not been subjected to oxidization treatment is used. SOLUTION: In the packaging material, a printing layer is formed via a primer layer 2 on the surface of the film or sheet of base material 1 as shown in the drawing. The primer layer 2 is formed of a primer composition containing as its main constituent an acid modified hydrogenation styrene-butadiene-styrene block copolymer in which anα,β-unsaturated carboxylic acid or its anhydride is added to a hydrogen additive of a styrene-butadiene-styrene block copolymer. The packaging material can be processed into a packaging bag by heat fusion. It is preferable that the primer layer is formed by applying the primer composition. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
