PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biodegradable resin composition which is good in moldability and is excellent in heat resistance and impact resistance, and to provide a method for manufacturing a biodegradable resin molded article obtained by using this biodegradable resin composition. SOLUTION: The biodegradable resin composition, containing a biodegradable resin, a plasticizer, an organic nucleating agent and an inorganic nucleating agent, is characterized in that the plasticizer is a compound having two or more of ester groups in its molecule and having an average mole number for ethylene oxide addition of 3-9, and the organic nucleating agent is a compound having a hydroxy group and an amide group in its molecule. The method for manufacturing a biodegradable resin molded article comprises (1) a process of mixing the biodegradable resin composition at a temperature higher than the melting point (Tm) of the biodegradable resin, and (2) a process of heat-treating the mixture at a temperature from a glass transition temperature (Tg) of the biodegradable resin composition to lower than Tm.
