<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of reducing the interruption of exposure during toner supply while preventing the enlargement of the apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus comprises: an image carrier for carrying an electrostatic latent image; an exposure device for irradiating the image carrier with light to form the electrostatic latent image; developing means for developing the electrostatic latent image formed on the image carrier; a rotation means provided with a plurality of developing means on the outer periphery and capable of rotating the developing means of a toner of a color to be developed in each color to be developed up to a developing position opposed to the image carrier; and a color toner supply means allowed to be moved from a retreated position where light radiated from the exposure device is not interrupted up to a supply position where the light radiated from the exposure device is interrupted to supply the color toner to the color developing means out of the plurality of developing means. Further the image forming apparatus is provided with a black toner supply means arranged on a position where light radiated from the exposure device is not interrupted to supply a black toner to a black developing means on the position. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
