A gate driving method and apparatus of a liquid crystal panel are provided to prevent generation of boundary lines between horizontal blocks driven by each gate driving IC(Integrated Circuit), by limiting ripple components of a gate-off voltage to the same level. A power unit(42) generates a gate-on voltage and a gate-off voltage. A gate-off voltage limiting unit(52) limits the ripple components of the gate-off voltage to a reference voltage, wherein the negative ripple level is limited to a first reference voltage and the positive ripple level is limited to a second reference voltage. A gate driver(48) supplies the gate-on voltage from the power unit and the gate-off voltage having the limited ripple components from the gate-off voltage limiting unit, to a liquid crystal panel.
