A plasma display panel is provided to enhance luminescence efficiency of the plasma display panel by preventing an excessive ionization of discharge gas, such as xenon. A plasma display panel includes a front substrate(110), a rear substrate(120), a dielectric wall(130), plural discharge electrode pairs(140), a protecting film layer(170), and a phosphor layer(220). The rear substrate is formed opposite to the front substrate. The dielectric wall, which is formed between the front and second substrates, defines discharge cells with the front and second substrates. The plural discharge electrode pairs are implanted into the dielectric wall and disposed at an opposite regions with respect to the discharge cells. The protecting film layer includes a first protecting film layer(180), which is formed to expose a part of the dielectric wall, and a second protecting film layer(190) for covering the exposed dielectric wall. The phosphor layer is formed in the discharge cells. |
