Ventilation and functional lumber and a construction material using the same are provided to promote metabolism by emitting far infrared rays through a ventilating cap and to cut off harmful chemical materials by using the property and aroma of aromatic plants. The ventilation and functional lumber is composed of a long hexagonal wood panel(1) having a plurality of elongated holes(11) bored from the lateral side in a longitudinal direction at regular intervals and a plurality of through-holes(12) perforated from the front side to the rear side at regular intervals with penetrating through the elongated holes at right angle; functional materials which are filled into the elongated holes of the wood panel in the powder or paste state; and a ventilating cap(3) provided with fine air flow holes and detachably fitted to the elongated hole and the through-hole to make the air flow into the elongated hole of the wood panel. |
