PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ground bearing force testing device capable of easily measuring ground bearing force at a low cost and in a short time although accuracy in testing ground bearing force is slightly inferior. SOLUTION: The ground bearing force testing device comprises a stool 1 sized to allow a person to mount thereon; a piston 2 integrated onto the stool 1; a pressure means 3 for pushing down a movable element 25 of the piston 2; a pressure measuring means 4 for measuring the pressure of the pressure means 3; a penetrating body 5 of thin rod shape mounted to the movable element 25 of the piston 2 and penetrating into the ground G by the downward movement of the movable element 25; and a penetration amount measuring means 6 for measuring the underground penetration amount of the penetrating body 5. Since the ground bearing force can be computed from the measured amounts of pressure and penetration when the person mounts on the stool 1, and the penetrating body 5 is pushed down by the pressure means 3 to penetrate the penetrating body 5 into the ground, a ground bearing force test can be carried out in a short time while requiring a reduced manufacturing cost.
