Provided is a design information providing system having a mechanism that production of products cannot be continued unless Patent license contract is concluded. A design information providing system (1) includes: a user terminal device (40a) for manufacturing a product (BD player (50)); a patent license issuing server (20a) used when a license contract required for manufacturing a BD player (50) is concluded with a user of the terminal device (40a) for issuing a contract certificate (60) certifying the conclusion of the contract to the terminal device (40a); and a design information providing server (encryption key issuing server (30a)) used when a request is made for design information (encryption key (80)) unique to a BD player (50) from the terminal device (40a), for transmitting the encryption key (80) to the terminal device (40a) in order to check the contract certificate (60).
