<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a γ-aminobutyric acid-containing composition combinedly using active ingredients derived from bananas, such as dietary fiber, minerals, vitamins and antioxidative component while richly containing γ-aminobutyric acid, to provide a food and drink containing the composition, and to provide a method for producing the γ-aminobutyric acid-containing composition. <P>SOLUTION: This method for producing the γ-aminobutyric acid-containing composition comprises making crushed or pasty bananas act on glutamic acid or its salt or their contained material so as to produce easily further efficiently γ-aminobutyric acid in a short time. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
