<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a frequency control system for developing CPU performance in a parallel computer to the maximum. <P>SOLUTION: In a parallel computer 1 of a forced air cooling system from the underneath of the floor, a service processor 21 of an upper level computer unit 3 successively monitors the intake air temperature of the upper level computer unit 3 and the CPU joint temperature of a lower level computer unit 2, and predicts the temperature change of intake air 93 of the upper level computer unit 3 by using them, and controls a clock oscillator 24 of the upper level computer unit 3 to make an operating frequency higher than a normal operating frequency.
