PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the issue of making a printer thin and its accompanying problems. SOLUTION: (1) A paper feeder mechanism and its load are eliminated by segregating the paper. In this case, a display "printing completed" is issued after storing a printing head following the end of printing. (2) A nozzle protecting part which freely retreats during cleaning is set up, (3) A new layout which is printed with the inserted paper. The characteristics of this printer are changed depending on a paper insertion mode or an installation mode. An ink head is stored without passing over the paper after the end of printing.
