The PBX telephone exchange allows multiples such as multiples linking attendant positions at the switchboard to be replaced by a set of call distributors or vice versa simply, cheaply and quickly. The selector which is normally in use for selection of a free attendant when call distribution is employed also serves when multiples are used to mark any position whose attendant has operated the key denoting that he is engaged on a call. This is achieved by connecting the selector, attendant boards, gates, call distributor and link circuits in a specified manner. |
