PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a detergent composition capable of dealing with requests for antibacterial performance, cleaning performance and their lasting property. SOLUTION: This detergent composition contains a compound expressed by general formula (1) [wherein, R<SP>1</SP>is a≥6C hydrocarbon group; R<SP>2</SP>, R<SP>3</SP>are each the same or different a lower hydrocarbon group; R<SP>4</SP>is a divalent lower hydrocarbon group; R<SP>5</SP>, R<SP>6</SP>and R<SP>7</SP>are each the same or different a lower alkyl or lower alkoxy; and X is a halogen ion or an organic carbonyloxy ion].
